My Long Awaited Secret!

I have just been accepted in to the college that I applied for!!! (Didn't think I should make a super long post and then post this at the bottom, so, you're welcome!) It is true I applied a while ago but they messed something up with my account so after fixing that I just got word a few days ago that I've been accepted. I am so unbelievably excited and can't believe I'm going off to a university. At the moment I am going back and forth on what I want to major in; either pre-vet or english with a writing emphasis. I feel as though being a veterinarian would be my passion in life but the stress that comes with it may take it's toll on me. As for being an english major it is a very versatile degree and could possibly get me a job fairly easily. It is difficult for me to decide, I am so capricious!! Maybe I'll see if I could get some vets to guest post on here and see what they have to say about their job. If you know of anyone that would be willing to give it a shot hit me up and I'll work something out!

Now, besides being accepted I need to slowly make accommodations for the ponies. The city the college is located in has many horse boarding facilities at an amazing price, so, we will definitely be barn hunting next summer. Along with that, I will be in the market for a horse trailer. My goal is to buy one by the beginning of summer next year so I can do some showing before I go off to school. Gotta keep our eyes peeled!

Also around a week ago I received my Horze jacket that I won over at Allison's blog. I absolutely love it and wear it all the time, besides my Carhartt jacket it is on of my favorites.

Ava gone english

Dark stormy sky

Back in October I entered one of HorseShow.com's online shows. It was a Youth Fall Festival and entered Ava and I in the showmanship division. We placed 2nd out of 8 people!! And our beautiful ribbon just arrived in the mail. I didn't know that you actually get a real ribbon, I thought it was a paper certificate, no, it is legit!

Blog Hop: Equestrian Bucket List!

Over at The Little Bay Princess she is hosting a blog hop. So, I thought I would add my post to their already large list of partakers! I may have more than three things on the list though! I love participating in these things and I love how much everyone else does too, it is great to see what a wonderful horse blogging community we all have.

#1. Own a gooseneck trailer with living quarters
Not only would a trailer provide the freedom to take my lovely beast wherever I please, I can also live for days with her as well! This will one day come true, I just have to keep telling myself that! Of course, I will also a need an awesome truck to go along with it as well. Once we get that then Ava and I are leaving for a long trip together!

#2. Compete at a world level versatility show
I have been working with Ava on becoming a very versatile horse. I just think if something like a zombie apocalypse were to happen (thank you Walking Dead!) I want my horse to be able to do anything I ask, may it be riding into town for groceries all the way to shooting zombies off her back.

#3. Perfect neck reining
We are well on our way there. I never would have thought we could get this far in our training.

#4. Write a novel about horses
Remember The Saddle Club? Silly as it sounds I want to write a horse story like that. Where the characters go on lots of great adventures with their horses. That would be a load of fun to write!

#5. Become a riding instructor
I would love doing this, teaching people all about horses, especially riding!

#6. Own my very own horse ranch
This is my lifelong dream to own and run my own horse ranch. One day when Ava is too old I wish to let her live out her days on my own property. I then would want to board, train, and breed horses for the rest of my life.

I do not any own any of the photos that were used in this post.
